A group within the Northern School of Permaculture, together with friends and associates, aim to buy land in Portugal to establish an eco- village and land holding collective. This project aspires to design a future- proof, off-grid ecological settlement model in Mediterranean climate.

We will embark on a process of collaborative visioning and design to develop a site where the harmonious integration of people and landscape leads to a truly sustainable development. This would include, for example creating a well-being retreat centre and developing right livelihoods based on permaculture ethics and principles.
